Build the water surface so it is a multi-faceted square, just inside the inner part of
the glass. Apply a b/w clip map of a full black circle on a white background to the
water.
The circle must accurately touch the border of the clip map. Apply it planarly and
turn on 'World Coordinates'.
Unless you move the water (alone or as part of the glass hierarchy) you can apply any
displacement mapping to it and it would fit perfectly in the glass.
